Emmy Awards, or Emmys, are awards honoring artistic and technical excellence in United States television. An Emmy is considered one of the four major awards in America for performing arts and entertainment – the others being the Grammy, the Oscar , and the Tony.

As Emmy voters mark their ballots in final-round voting, let’s go down memory lane to revisit some of the most outrageous, wild and iconic looks from last year:

1. Bowen Yang

While "Saturday Night Live" star Bowen Yang wore the good ol’ tux to the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards, what stood out in his look was him leaning into his accessories. He added a brooch, a silver hoop earring and a pair of killer metallic platform boots. The Emmy nominee donned a pair of David Bowie-inspired silver platform boots for his walk down the red carpet with a cool star-shaped brooch from Tiffany & Co. crafted from 18-karat yellow gold and platinum plus diamonds.

Fun Fact - Ahead of Spirit Day last year, the LGBTQ nonprofit GLAAD even auctioned off these sky-high, silver platform shoes and the proceeds went towards LGBTQ advocacy work.

2. Carl Clemons-Hopkins

Carl Clemons-Hopkins, who became the first non-binary person to be nominated for best supporting actor at the 73rd Emmy Awards, walked the red carpet in a custom Christian Siriano outfit inspired by the non-binary flag. The actor's white button-down shirt, black trousers, purple belt, and purple and yellow train featured the colors of the flag. As per Clemons-Hopkins' stylist, Jyotisha Bridges the outfit was created as "an homage to the non-binary flag and celebrating our identities and beauty beyond the heteronormative standard. Kudos to spreading the message of love so loud and clear!

 3. Dan Levy

Daniel Levy walked the carpet wearing a Valentino number. The Canadian star’s outfit included a wrap blazer with a tie at the waist, pants and a dress shirt all in a remarkably bold blue shade. He kept the accessories to a minimum and went for chunky black boots and his signature black-rimmed glasses to complete his ensemble.

Hard to forget these blues, eh?!

4. FAB FIVE

The Queer Eye’s Fab Five: Antoni Porowski, Tan France, Karamo Brown, Bobby Berk and Jonathan Van Ness absolutely smashed it on the carpet with possibly their best look to date.

Karamo, in knee high leather boots, matching maroon waistcoat and trousers, paired with an oversized blue cape went for what can only be described as a regal horse riding look.

Jonathan looks like he’s headed straight into a fun yacht party, in his white suit with sheer organza shirt paired with

Antoni looks the definition of dapper in his fitted black suit and shiny silver boots. This is not an outfit to make guac in, this is an outfit to steal both you, and your man.Taking a break from interior design, Bobby went for a classic suit, but with a teal twist. In fact, this would be a great living room wall color...Last, but in no way the least, Tanwent with a Cher Horowitz older brother vibe, in this checked suit.

5. Billy Porter

Billy Porter channeled his fairy godperson character on the red carpet, where he stepped out in a monochromatic top, trousers and wing-like accents. In addition to platform shoes, Porter completed his show-stopping style with a series of sparkling jewels, including ear cuffs, bracelets, a necklace and rings on almost all of his gloved fingers. Definitely not one to fly under the radar, this Porter!

Another Emmys night awaits us this September and so does a barrage of several such looks and being fans of all things bold, WE. JUST. CAN’T. WAIT.
